FILLING TAXES SUCKS!

And this year I double the pain: Michigan AND Georgia... I wonder how many degrees you need to have to understand how to fill those... So tonite the question is: Am I a resident or a non resident alien? I have a headache just by looking at this flowchart...

I think I'm going to do it the Snoopy's way ;)

Trip to Europe - the pics!

Here are a few pics from my marathon trip to Europe:
Annecy Lake (France)

French Alps - my playground for so many years

On the other side of the Alps, Italy

Milan, that's about all I saw of the city...

Ile-aux-Moines, Friday evening (Brittany, France)

My brother!
(and "No" ladies, I don't know if he's single or not because I usually get my butt kicked when I ask this kind of questions...)

And now some serious stuff:

That's how fish should be prepared: NO KETCHUP AND CERTAINLY NOT FRIED!!!

A good smelly cheese...

And for dessert: a chocolate eclair (French size)

It's boarding time again

Since everybody is sending pic of their boarding gate, here is mine: Gate E-74, Charles de Gaulle Airport, Terminal E2 and no delayed flight (so far). And since Blogger is fucked up, you'll have to tilt your head a bit ;) There was no St Pat's Day for me this year as I figured out it was probably not a good idea to show up at the gate totally wasted.... So my short trip to Europe is over and went pretty well. It was nice to spend some family time and I wish I could have seen my mom... It's gonna be for May. It has also been a while seen I woke up with a Formula 1 Grand Prix (Austrilian Gd Prix this morning) and that was great. Kimi won the first race of the season but is now driving for Ferrari :(

I have a crazy load of work waiting for me in Atlanta and try not to think too much about it. I'm going to crash to bed once I arrive anyway. I have some serious catch-up to do on that side too. Plus I have a weird jet-lag... I'm somewhere between Euope Time and Eastern Standard Time ;)

In France, still with a pulse...

Everything went well in Italy. I haven't seen much of Milan and Gorgonzola (well actually nothing) so the only pic I can show you is... Milan-Linate airport! Sorry for the quality, cellphone camera.. Tonite Paris Charles de Gaulle airport and tomorrow, the French part of the trip.

Nooooooo!!!!

There is going to be a massive steel walkway on Grand Canyon (here)!!!! And soon enough a bigger tourism center and Hummer rides through the outback!!!! Are there no other ways to make money than by distorting one of the most beautiful places on Earth???? But I guess I should be thankful nobody thought about drilling for oil there (yet)...

Flying home for 5 days

I'm going to be totally dead after this trip but it's going to be so good to see family again, even if only for a few hours. I'm leaving Monday afternoon for two days of meetings Tuesday and Wednesday in Milan, Italy. I will then be flying to Paris for additional meetings on Thursday. I'll be back to ATL by Sunday night. For now, I'm just trying to have everything ready before I leave and this is tense. There is going to be some serious sleeping on the plane...

Tuesday, March 6

Muhahahahaha!

It's nice to have a female candidate for the election. Too bad she has nothing between her two ears...

Sunday, March 4

I know why there are no windows in our lab...

BECAUSE OTHERWISE HALF OF THE COMPUTERS WOULD ALREADY BE SMASHED UP ON THE SIDEWALK !!!

Starting with mine.....

The 7:30pm update

We're on tornado watch and my street is now a river... I'm glad I'm home.
The other news of the day is that I'm flying to Europe (Italy and France) in about 10 days for work/research related meetings. This is awesome though it means that next week is going to be really tense too... sooooo... back to work ;)

When did it get so complicated???

I'm sitting here, in front of my window, finishing my bowl of "7 whole grain Honey Puffs" and I'm wondering how I'm going to go through this wall of water falling from the sky. T-storms in the South are really fascinating. And there is nothing better than a good T-storm at 4 in the morning to see all your neighborhood running in pyjamas in the street to shut the alarm of their car ;)
This week has been very intense so far. I should have pulled an all-nighter either tuesday or last night but I just can't anymore. So I'm behind and very frustrated. I also made some decisions I'm not sure about and this confusion, added to the regular stress, doesn't help. The first one who tells me that I have it easy because I'm still in school will have his butt kicked very hard ;)
