If you want to have a good laugh, I discovered something worse than Fox News. This is the conservative equivalent to Wikipedia called "Conservapedia". They have a lovely "article" about France. Of the three renowned scholars they name in their "article", only one is actually French. Immanuel Kant is German (hello!!!!) and the third one "Francois Nique LaMer" is actually a bad translation for French people go f... your mom... Lovely ;)

The Jims are gone, the boyfriend is gone and even Cyril is out of town. I'm trying to work but I'm having a hard time concentrating. I'm thinking about these last 3 days, the good times and our discussions about life and academia. I'll never be thankful enough for those.

The week-end was pretty busy and mostly spent at fixing computers. My desktop didn't really like the trip from Oregon to Georgia. The case was damaged, the graphic card died somehow and I realized later on that one of my memory was failing too, resulting in overheating and Windows rebooting by itself every 10 minutes or so... At this point my 2 options were to invest money in my desktop and get a new case and some new hardware or to upgrade my laptop. I went for the laptop option: replaced my 40Gb drive with a 80 Gb one and switched from 512 Mb to 2 Gb of RAM. I finished disassembling my desktop, saved all my data from my 3 different drives and put the old drives in external enclosures. I now have enough external HDs to back-up the back-up drives, and my laptop is a heck of a killer ;)

I want some rain!!!!!

Or is that too much to ask?????? Pleeeeeeeeeaaaaase... even only for 15 minutes...
