We went to South Carolina and we didn't get shot!

I left yesterday morning with Cyril, a GT colleague, for Tallulah Falls and South Carolina. The drive was gorgeous. We ended up on back roads, in some crazy redneck places and it was awesome to be out of town. I have tons of pics to upload from this trip and previous ones but my pictures require a lot of cleaning because my sensor is getting really dirty. So be patient ;)

Could someone send me a bulletproof vest???

Lazy day

Living in Atlanta is like living in Paris. You drive in front of the Eiffel Tower every morning to go to work (except that here KingKong lives on the monument - you're in the US remember...) and you go to Le Louvre on saturdays. The week-end has been pretty lazy so far. We went to see Flags of our Fathers (the last Clint Eastwood) friday night, followed by the Le Louvre Atlanta this morning (the exposition was interesting but a bit short) and finally Borat this afternoon. Tonite, party, and tomorrow work...
The fall is really gorgeous here. I'm going to try to escape next week-end and spend some time hiking in the North of Georgia/South of Tennessee. Would be nice...

Otherwise, my ears are doing better. The doc said that my nerves didn't like it but there is no damage to the ear drum, which is good. You can stop yelling now ;)

Wednesday, November 1

Yell as much as you want, I can't hear you!!!

So this is me being stupid again... I turned my mp3 player on without realizing that the volume was at its maximum. And of course I had headsets on my ears, you know these fancy ones for high quality sound... Well I almost cried.... I can now hear the ocean in my ears, which is cool except that this is VERY painfull. I have a hearing test scheduled tomorrow afternoon. I'm not too worried as the doctor today said that it should come back to normal. It's just weird and painfull, very painfull...

Other than that, I finally received my birthday present!!! A HUGE box with tons of cool things inside ;) Thank you Max!
